Dr. Stefanowicz is the owner and manager of RETINA Veterinary Clinic. Member of the European Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology (ESVO) and the East European Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology (EESVO). Since 2006 he works exclusively in the field of veterinary ophthalmology. In 2008 he completed a specialty training in ophthalmology at the University of Luxembourg during the ESAVS course. Since 2018 Dr. Stefanowicz has been a chairman of the Polish Small Animal VeterinaryAssociation, Section of Ophthalmology. He regularly participates in conferences organized by the ESVO (European Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology) and the prestigious ECVO (European College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists), as well as numerous courses and workshops in the field of veterinary ophthalmology in Poland and abroad. Dr. Stefanowicz completed a small animal surgery postgraduate studies, and in 2013 he became a board certified surgeon . In 2014 he completed an internship at the ophthalmology department of the renowned referral and specialty clinic: Animal Health Trust in Newmarket, Great Britain. In 2020 he completed training and examination cycle as part of the ophthalmology specialization, obtaining the title of ESE ECVO (European College of Veterinary ophthalmologists Eye Scheme Examiner). He is an author of lectures, courses and numerous scientific publications on ophthalmology published in the professional journals. As one of the few veterinary ophthalmologists in Poland, he performs specialized operations such as cataract removal (phacoemulsification with implantation of artificial lenses), surgical treatment of glaucoma (implanting gonioimplants, trabeculectomy), cryosurgical removal of neoplastic lesions of the eye and its appendages, and operations of the posterior segment of the eye (vitreoretinal surgery) . Since 2015 Dr. Stefanowicz is a vice chairman of the Section of Ophthalmology of the Polish Small Animal VeterinaryAssociation.
